Taking in the salt air « Thread Started on Jun 5, 2007, 2:04am »
Captain Nathan Lansing stood on a rock overlooking a large drop into the sea below. Whipped into a white foam below him the sea churned like a resting beast. Nathan pushed his hat farther back onto his head and sat down and pulled out his long cutlass. It had been a long time since he had seen combat, but he still kept the blade in firm working order.
He pulled out the letter that he had received the week before. He had been ordered by the king himself to ready his ship for a passage across the great ocean. Not sure whether he should be proud of being chosen, or concerned for his safety he closed his eyes and absorbed the cool sea air.

Daniela walked along the beach, her eyes on the ground. She cursed it silently with every footfall. She hated it here, hated the feeling of being trapped, the feeling of constantly being watched. People knew her here. And that made her nervous. Lost in though, she didn't see the man standing nearby until she nearly bumped into him. "Sorry," she said quickly.
