Daniel grunted as he lay his coins on the counter of the General Store and heaved his heavy sack over his shoulder. He had most valuables packed away, but felt obligated to increase his personal food stores. As far as he could tell, things might be less than predictable where he was going. He had already purchased a hat for the rain and a few scrolls of parchment and quill feathers to keep himself busy aboard the ship. As soon as Daniel gathered his belongings once again outside of the store, he quickly walked to a nearby post to check the departure of his ship. He laughed at himself, having been in a hurry for an invisible reason when the ship didn't leave for perhaps even another month or so. He had just arrived at the port, however, and was not aware of the situation. Fortunately, had a place to stay in town at the inn. Some haggish looking young man had told him earlier that he could stay on the ship before it departed, but this was a sickening thought to Daniel. "I'm about to be cooped up on and thrown about by this galleon in the near future, and I want to get a taste of it before I have to? I think not," he said to himself. As he made his way now through the town, dodging horsecarts and children buzzing about like flies, he found the inn and decided to sit on a bench outside, hoping more travelers would arrive and give him company.

Mathias walked into the nearest inn. if I'm going to be gathering supplies I might as well not go back to the ship. The king's paying for y lodging anyway. I wonder if I bought a new sword if I could write that off... He sat down next to a man he had seen early.
"Decided not to stay on the ship before we leave? I can't blame you. Innkeeper two cups of you best please."
"So where are you from?"

Daniel was surprised that someone had joined him, almost finding it surreal that there was someone else that actually looked prepared for the voyage. He turned to the man, thanking him for ordering the drink.
"Ah, not too far away, actually. Few miles east, close to the capital. I'm Daniel Moreau, a former Archivist. And you're one of the fellows in charge of the ship, are you not?"

Daniela kept her head low as she entered the outskirts of the village. Scanning the area, she soon found what she was looking for: a simple looking peasant man watering a horse. She approached him silently. It took only a few moments to get the information she wanted. Nodding curtly to the peasant by way of thanks, she headed toward the tavern. Seated on a bench in front of the tavern were two men. Daniela had no idea of knowing which one she needed to speak to.
"Mathias Blaze?" she asked quickly, hand straying unconsciously to the dagger on her belt.

Mathias jerked his head around. A young women was standing there hand on her dagger. Let's hope this isn't about some old debt.

Daniela looked at him closely, moving her hand off the dagger.

"Yes the ship still has room. Give me the address of where you're staying and I'll send uou word before we leave."
Well, that's another passenger. I wish could leave already, I'm anxious to see this new world.

Daniela hesitated for a moment.
"I'm staying at the Inn across the road. Ask for Daniela."
Without another word she turned and began to walk away.
